French composer and multi-instrumentalist Yann Tiersen creates fragile, evocative compositions filled with achingly beautiful melodies. He is perhaps best known for his award-winning soundtrack for the film Amélie, but that only scratches the surface of his enormously rich musical output. He will be performing solo on piano and violin for this special concert.
