Boston’s own Debo Band plays a hard-driving strain of ’70s Ethiopian pop music with elements of rock, funk and jazz. The 11-piece band created a huge buzz at globalFEST and SXSW this year for its “incredible energy and passion and excellence.”—All Songs Considered, NPR. Next Ambiance/Sub Pop released the band's hugely anticipated self-titled debut album on July 10. Full Tang and Callers will open.
