More about the artists: Much more than just a band, The Nile Project is a tight cross-cultural collaboration that brings together artists from 11 countries along the Nile basin to create a unified new sound. Lilting melodies and deep grooves from Ethiopia, Egypt, Sudan, Burundi, Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, and beyond support vocals sung in more than 10 languages. Using music to spark cultural curiosity, The Nile Project engages musicians and audiences, encouraging them to feel connected to the world’s longest river.

“A committed, euphoric international coalition.”—The New York Times

“One marveled continually at this remarkable voice, that effusive instrumental display, and overall the happy ease with which these individuals formed a united front.”—The Boston Globe
