Internationally renowned Les Ballets Jazz de Montréal, or BJM, defies categories with its hip, funky moves infused with infectious energy, humor, and imagination. Led by artistic director Louis Robitaille, BJM presents a world premiere and four Boston premiere works, including two by Israeli choreographer Itzak Galili: Casualties of Memory (world premiere), a powerful, vibrant dance set to a Frères Grand composition, and O Balcão de Amor (Boston premiere), a veritable ode to joy set to Cuban music. BJM also offers the Boston premieres of three pieces choreographed by Andonis Foniadakis, which are excerpts from  Dance Me, a new creation inspired by the poetry and music of Leonard Cohen.
