Originally from Chicago and now living in Salem, MA, James Morrow brings hip-hop culture to concert dance with his company james morrow/ The Movement. Compelling choreographer Kat Nasti utilizes the constantly changing and diverse artistic pool available in Boston for her Kat Nasti Dance. Doppelgänger Dance Collective (DDC), cofounded in 2015 by dancers Shura Baryshnikov and Danielle Davidson, creates original, contemporary choreographic work for duet performance. Young, talented choreographer Alexander Davis recently created his own company, Alexander Davis Dance (ADD), and is also a member of Boston’s own Urbanity Dance.
